Some home maintenance projects are surprisingly affordable, and others are staggeringly expensive. If you’re a new homeowner, it can be tough to estimate what you’ll spend on maintenance each year. This infographic from HomeAdvisor shows you the average cost of 57 common projects.
In addition to national averages, the graphic also shows you the general range of what you can expect to pay for each project. A kitchen remodel topped their list, with an average cost of $19,920. The least expensive project was winterizing or activating a home sprinkler system, which cost $80 on average. A few other interesting average costs on their list:
Install flooring: $2,890
Trim or remove trees and shrubs: $658
Building a deck: $6,919
Installing windows: $4,745
